2014 NHL Winter Classic Attendance Expected to Set World Record

Winter Classic is coming to Michigan Stadium in Ann Arbor for the 6th year.  The 2014 Winter Classic features The Detroit Red Wings vs The Toronto Maple Leafs in a clash between longtime Original Six legends.

Tickets for the 2014 Winter Classic between the Detroit Red Wings and Toronto Maple Leafs will go on sale at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 22. (Tickets available NOW at Lucky Duck Tickets) 
The game will be played Jan. 1 at Michigan Stadium in Ann Arbor. The NHL anticipates setting a world record for attendance at a hockey game.  The 2014 Winter Classic is estimated to bring upwards of 110,000.  Approximately 250,000 are expected to venture on downtown Detroit for the Hockeytown Winter Festival.

-    Alcohol or illegal substances
-    Apparel or signage displaying profane or abusive language
-    Audio recording equipment
-    All Bags (including purses)
-    Balloons
-    Banners, flags and flagpoles
-    All Bottles (including all types of water bottles)
-    Brooms, poles or tripods
-    Containers of any kind (including cans, thermoses and open containers)
-    Coolers
-    Fireworks
-    Firearms, knives or other weapons
-    Flasks
-    Food of any kind
-    Laser Pointers
-    Nets
-    Noisemakers
-    Professional cameras/lenses (lenses longer than 6”)
-    Projectile toys (including footballs, Frisbees and beach balls)
-    Seat backs
-    Strollers
-    Video/movie cameras
-    Umbrellas
-    Any other device that are deemed dangerous, inappropriate, interfere with and/or distract the players, fans or telecast of the game.
Changes in national and regional security levels may affect security procedures at Michigan Stadium.  Exceptions for medical reasons will be addressed individually at the gates.  Those needing to bring items of need (i.e. diapers for a baby, medical prescriptions, etc.) are encouraged to carry them into the Stadium in a clear plastic bag.

The 47th Annual CMA Awards 2013 Nominees

 

Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood will be hosting  “The 47th Annual CMA Awards” for the 6th consecutive year on Nov. 6th.
 
Keith Urban and Tim McGraw are also scheduled to perform, along with Miranda Lambert and Little Big Town.   More performers to will be announced later.
