After a "retirement" of more than a dozen years Brooks returns to the stage. Garth Brooks announced his first stop for his World Tour will be Chicago. The Chicago show will take place on Sept. 4 at the Allstate Arena in Rosemont with special guest Trisha Yearwood.
Brooks broke records for both sales and concert attendance throughout the 1990s. He retired from performing and recording in 2001 until 2009. In 2009 Garth began a five-year concert deal with the Encore Hotel and Casino in Vegas. During a performance in 2011, Brooks told his audience that once his youngest daughter is in college he will be "firing the tour back up." Well that fire will start in Chicago on Sept. 4th.
